We started giving Henry some rice cereal this week...and this was his reaction!  Not a fan.  But we have been working on him and he is getting better and better about it.

He did enjoy playing with the spoon, though!

He has also figured out that naptime can turn into playtime if he rolls over onto his tummy in his crib!  I was worried that we were going to have some naptime issues because of it, but he has adjusted and has learned to sleep fairly well on his tummy.

We were able to go apple picking at Sky Top Orchard this weekend with two of the couples in our small group.  We had a great time and enjoyed the fall weather!

I've already slacked off.  This post should have been done last Wednesday.  And, I don't have any pictures from this week...yet.  I'll take some today and post them soon!  So, just pretend that this post happened last week instead :)

We also got to spend the weekend hanging out with family, cheering on the tide, and celebrating Carter's first birthday.  (And I can't take credit for most of these pictures--most of them were taken by Teri Lee, Steven, and Andi.)

We had a fun Labor Day weekend and got to see lots of family and friends!  Henry got to meet the Rigsbys for the first time, and had a great time playing with them.

My parents also came to visit us on Sunday after church.  We tried to take a picture of Henry with his Papa to show how much they look alike, but it's hard to tell in the picture.

One of my college roommates, Jenny, was also in town for the first Clemson game, so we enjoyed spending some time with her, too.

Henry is into everything these days!  Here is a picture of him playing with his daddy at church, and some pictures of him playing in his play gym.

Henry is trying harder and harder to be able to move himself around!  Here is another picture of him in his play gym that proves it.  And I have to be honest...I wasn't watching and have no idea how he ended up this way!  He started out laying underneath it on his back with his legs away from the wall and somehow he turned 90 degrees and got his legs behind the piano leg.  I guess I'd better start paying closer attention... ;)

Here he is geared up for football season...I think Travis might be a little more excited about it than Henry is :)

Henry has enjoyed tummy time this week much more than he has in the past.  In fact, right after I took this picture, he rolled over for the first time!

He is able to play on his tummy better now, and as you can see, playtime means putting EVERYTHING in his mouth!

He is getting better and better at sitting up....and it is definitely his favorite!  

Although, he wasn't too sure about it this morning...

but then he saw the pillow and thought that it might be a fun thing to put in his mouth...

and this is how that ended up.  Probably not what he had in mind :)

He has been working on his vocal skills also.  We hear lots of squeals and sometimes laughs.  We have noticed that when he is tired, everything makes him laugh!  He loves playing with his daddy.  Here is a picture and a video of them playing.  (I don't know why the video showed up twice...and I don't know how to delete it!  So you can watch it twice if you want :) )
