This is late (as usual :) ), but Travis' birthday was April 24th and we went camping the weekend before to celebrate.
Henry was right in the middle of potty training, which didn't go so well as this picture documents. We pretty much had a set of pants and underwear hanging on this tree the whole weekend. But in his defense, we weren't very close to the bathrooms :)
We had a great time just hanging out together and enjoying the weather outside.
We were also right on the lake, which both Henry and Travis loved.
Travis showed Henry how he could skip rocks, and the rest of the weekend all we heard was "walk down see wa-wa" and "throw wock wa-wa."
On the way home our car broke down with no warning whatsoever...needless to say we were less than excited about that.
But it worked out really well. We had packed a picnic lunch, planning to stop on the way home, so we just ate it on the side of the road instead. Travis' parents were willing to come and pick us up and let us use their AAA towing service (thank you!). And then the problem with the car turned out to be an easy fix (for Travis and Terry, not for me!) and we were able to drive it home that evening. Henry even got to see the tow truck and ride in Boo's camaro.
And we had root beer! :)
Then, on Travis' actual birthday, we got to celebrate with gifts, cake, and a yummy meal from the grill.
Henry and I are so grateful for your life Travis! We love you!
